Department of Business Administration & Economics

Our Business Administration and Economics Department strives to cultivate the confidence, critical-thinking skills, and dedication students need to succeed in business.

Through in-class curriculum and practical experience, business students learn the fundamentals of business, leadership, management, communication, and analysis. In addition to coursework, the Business Department provides individualized guidance outside the classroom to help students kick start their careers. Tapping well-established connections with local businesses, our department empowers students to work on projects in the Triad community, network with reputable leaders, and intern at top companies. With one-on-one help and support, business students graduate with a wealth of well-rounded academic and professional experiences under their belts.

  • B.S. in Business Management

    The Management major prepares students to lead organizations, manage people and resources, and solve business challenges in today鈥檚 dynamic workplace. Through coursework designed to prepare management majors for a career in leadership, students develop communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills necessary to manage people, processes, and organizational resources effectively. This program of study prepares students for leadership opportunities across a wide range of industries in a variety of business settings.

鈥淚 loved the GC Honors program and 91成人导航. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.鈥

- Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Class of 鈥19, Mathematics Major

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
