International Students Requesting an F-1 Transfer

Students or applicants who need to submit documentation to International Student Services should do this via the secure link in the application portal (linked under the online application information) or mailed to International Students Admissions Office at 815 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27401.

Please feel free to email the international admissions advisor at internationalprograms@greensboro.edu with any questions regarding your immigration status and beyond, and we will do our best to support you.

Application deadlines for F-1 Students**:

  • April 1 鈥 Fall admission
  • October 1 鈥 Spring admission

**Applications received after the deadline will be accepted, but the processing time for the documents and I-20/visa process may cause you to miss the deadline for your preferred semester start date.

Important Notes

  1. To be eligible to transfer to 91成人导航, your current school must verify that are in valid F-1 status and eligible for transfer. 
  2. If you are currently on post-completion OPT you must be transferred before the end of your 60-day grace period (after OPT ends). If you want to transfer prior to your OPT end date, your OPT will automatically terminate early.
  3. You may not be eligible to apply for, or renew, an NC Driver鈥檚 License/Permit until you are registered via the SEVIS system for your first term at 91成人导航.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
